This week in 12B we focused a lot on a project. A mysterious project that kind of confuses me. I'm not confused as to how to work on a project. I am more confused as to what the project is. We did a lot of projects that related to individuality. One of which was the Indian Education by Sherman Alexie. We read the story and tried to relate it to our big question in some way shape or form. The big question my group is working on is How does a leader impact the image of society? We found it slightly difficult, yet easy to relate the text to our question. WIth words like confident and censorship, and phrases like freedom of expression, it was easy to find ways to relate to our question. The difficult part was finding those words. Another identity in context thing we worked on was reading short stories and finding traited within them that related back to our big question. The hardest part about that was actually figuring out what the sheet was looking for. A lot of the traits I saw in the short story related only to being a leader, making the leadership role easy to define. One thing I particularly enjoy about this class is the creative writing. It's like a place for me to get out my feelings for the day. Whether they relate to the given topic or not doesn't seem to bother me much. I just like being able to write whatever is on my mind. Each topic we are given peaks my interest in one way or another, making it easy for me to find something to relate to. Each time we write an entry in our creative writing diary, I have a freeing feeling take over me and all the stressful things from the day washes away. Its my way of copping with the stress of school and grades and home life.
